RISE Sushi & Sake Bar in Chicago's booming Southport neighborhood is what we found.
All we wanted to do was move our promotional efforts to a place that wasn't overbearing in its' attitude. A place that does not turn you away for how you are dressed. We believe in a few important things. We are truly your neighbors, committed to bringing you the best food, drinks, and entertainment in Chicago to a comfortable environment. We will never look down our noses at you while you figure out what it is you want to try. Go ahead and order red wine with seafood or a champagne for no other reason than it's a Monday. Drink whatever wine makes you happy, order a little food whenever you want, the hell with conventional thinking. A place everyone can relax all in a cool environment that will make you feel at home and enjoy themselves. The place we found is Rise Sushi & Sake.
This Asian eatery stands out on casual Southport Avenue; located at the corner of Southport and Roscoe, near Sopo and Coobah. Blond wood tables and lightly finished floors give a spare but comfortable feel. Wire – wrapped lamps hanging above the sushi bar give a whimsical touch; French windows open the place to the ever-booming Southport strip. So stop by and chill at the lounge sipping on some sake or on one of our specialty martinis while waiting for a table.
Kick start your meal off right with a tangy oyster shooter with quail egg or a plentiful plate of addictive edamame (fresh soybean)—it will buy you some time while you sip on one of our signature martinis and look over the menu full of an abundance of rolls, plus 27 types of nigiri and sashimi.
