 | | The Martini is enjoying a renaissance during this last decade, but Gin is not. Two out of three Martinis ordered at bars are made with Vodka. | | |

| Visitor Reviews | Secret to the dirtiest Martini... Ketel One seems to be pretty popular. I a Goose man myself, but i'll have to try Ketel One soon. The true secret to the perfect dirty martini however is not the Vodka (premium is always better though). Instead of using the olive juice put your favourite olives into the shaker with ice and your favourite vodka. Shake it vigorously so that the olives get pulverized, then strain into your glass!! Voila! Pefection! | Go to www.olivejuiceforsale.com~ I love this recipe minus the Absolut..I prefer Ketel One. I use just a quick spray of vermouth. I use some Bleu Cheese Stuffed brine and olives. It also has to be ice cold. Sit back and erase your hectic day~ | The Best! This is by far my absolute favorite drink. I perfer mine shaken as opposed to stirred and I chill everything as well. I keep my Ketel One in the freezer, vermouth in the fridge and always chill my glass with ice cold water in the freezer while I'm getting everything ready. I don't mind the olive brine from the jar, but if your looking for something more pure Amazon.com sells specialty "Dirty Martini Olive Juice" for 3.75. | Easy! way too much Vermouth, and use a better vodka | Can it get any better than this? I prefer using Ketel also, as suggested by many. I chill everything before preparing, cause on a hot, humid day in Chicago I like it as close to freezing as possible. 2 big olives soaked to perfection at the end is just the best. This concoction works for me, and I add just a dash of Tabasco to give it a wonderful "Fire & Ice" twist! | Save the really fancy stuff for sipping. I like Ketel One a lot, and Vox...fancier vodkas (Belvedere, Chopin, etc..anything over $22.00..) get murdered by the brine,
as they are too smooth and transparent. Oilier is better.
I use more brine than this..mine look look like a swamp! The vermouth actually balances the brine well.
I also use stuffed olives..jalapeno stuffed, onion stuffed, almond stuffed, and caper stuffed.
Each has a different brine, a different taste.
Dirty martinis are like crying in your drink without getting your eyes red... | a little vermouth never hurt anyone! pour the vermouth over the ice...shake and pour out...voila!....just a hint...is very fine | this is such a fun martini i adore "Martini's" and love the driest of martini, this one was really a hoot!!!! | | < > | Add your own review |
