The TEN is a 10
Try the ten, I'll never go back. NEVER I SAY!!!! NEVER!!!!
From an old fashioned martini drinker
My favorite of all, whether with Bombay or other quality gin. No olives but a twist of lemon and stirred not shaken. Wonderful with a Monte #2 and any thing conducted by Celibidache.

Personal choice: Beefeater, stirred not shaken
Nice to see someone who appreciates what a true, classic martini really is. The brand of gin is an individual choice, but may I suggest trying it stirred instead of shaken. Stirring causes less dilution of the ice keeping the flavor of your gin more distinct. Also, stirring the mixture 51 times in a counter clockwise rotation will bring the temperature of the liquid to the same level as when shaken. And, there aren't any ice crystals floating on top to numb my tongue. Daaaym, if I wanted a popsicle, I'd have made or ordered one.
Fabulous
This is a fabulous martini, but Tanquray now has a Tanquray 10 Gin that makes this great drink even better.
.....Beefeaters?
Super-chilled Beefeater's gin does no harm to this recipe. Shake the martini until frost forms on the shaker.
Simply magnificent
Always use your best and finest crystal while enjoying this marvelous martini.
